CommunicAsia 2006
This is stil not wad I want to pen down abt work.
But then again, it is worth writing abt CommunicAsia.
This is a global trade show that is meant for ICT industry.
There are many many many companies.
to be exact is 1593 companies.
I was supposed to be there on Tuesday to give out some stuff to my target audience.
In the end, becoz of some unforeseen circumstances,
I need to go there alone without anything w me.
and there I go.
To enter 4 halls alone is scary.
the journey to the place was so scary.
thinking that you have to network alone.
without someone to help you out.
the only word to describe: HELPLESS
Then again,this is where I learnt.
to be independent. to be confident.
to go all out. and think later abt the consequences.
I managed to mingle ard with some ppl.
ppl are nice there. networking is really a skill that need to be learnt.
sooner or later.
I have been to quite a few conferences before.
but I muz say this is really different.
coz you not only mingle and know ppl.
you know more abt technology!
Behind an ATM, have you wonder how it works?
there are plenty of technology behind the small little ATM that ppl used.
how can you use handphone so freely and use 3G so easily.
because of different technologies.
Not only one. But alot more.
routers, gateway, base station.
there are more to go.
Somehow I wonder. if there is no such things.
how is our world like today?
Imagine ppl don call using phone.
they use VOIP.
thru internet. cheaper more easier.
when you look at the solution that DOCOMO introduces.
wah! I am shocked!
Docomo is a Japanese company.
heard of I Mode. that is one of their pdt.
and they have interesting solutions ard.
Mmm. I get out of focus here.
Well, the main purposes of going there,
is to learn abt technology.
to mingle and to prospect them to be our customers.
are they? I guess not. maybe we target wrongly.
but that is part of the learning process that everyone has to go thru.
I went to the fair today again.
haha. actually the fair helps me to escape from work for 2 days.
coz I go to the fair twice.
and work piled up.
